What is Float Therapy?

Float Therapy (also known as sensory deprivation) is where an individual floats in 10 to 12 inches of water  saturated with 1,200 to 2,000 pounds of magnesium sulfate (also known as Epsom salt). You float in a sensory deprived environment, meaning the vessel of choice (an open pool, pod, or float room) is light and sound proof.

Ocean Float Rooms

Floatation sessions are all about creating a deeply relaxing and meditative experience, but a significant proportion of the general public are too nervous of confined spaces to ever consider entering a typical floatation tank. Release Float Spa features Ocean Float Rooms, which are built with reassuringly tall ceilings (6' - 11") and are accessed through a conventional style door. Our float rooms also feature mood lighting and immersive sound for those who prefer to not jump right into complete silence and darkness.

Revitalize Your Senses

Your first floating experience can be overwhelming, foreign, and strange all around. By providing a stress-free environment we are able to make your first float as calming and relaxing as possible. Below you'll find what to expect when floating at our spa from purchase of float to sharing your experience.

Begin your journey

1. Purchase & Book

Purchase your single float or package & schedule your float for what day & time work best for you. You can do this online or over the phone.

4. Float

Enjoy up to 60 minutes of a completely customizable float experience. You will be in control, with nothing to fear.

2. Arrival & Waiver

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We do ask that the waiver be filled out prior to arrival. If however you are not able to, it will be filled out upon arrival.

5. Post Float

You will have 10-15 minutes to get showered & dressed and if you need additional time to ready yourself for the world again, there is a "get ready" table with a hair dryer, mirror, etc.

3. Orientation & Pre-Float

After arrival, you will be taken back to your float room and talked through the process of floating.

6. Share your experience

You will have the opportunity to share how you felt before, during, and after your float. Tell us how your floating experience helped you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
